Lots of perches and pikes in the lake Syväjärvi. Good salmon catching areas in river Tornionjoki are well reachable from this cabin, for example, illustrious Kattilakoski is within 15 km distance. Aavasaksa fell and ski resort 20 km, Svanstein Ski on the Swedish side of the border 25 km, ski trails of the Ainiovaara ski resort 30 km. The border crossing point to Sweden 22 km.
